Frenship ISD director of finance receives state leadership award

Frenship ISD declared that Lela Vela, FISD director of finance, has been chosen as a 2022 Rise Award receiver by the Texas Association of College Company Officials.

Vela is 1 of only seven public education and learning administrators across the state of Texas to obtain the award this calendar year, in accordance to a news release from the district.

Vela and the other recipients of the Increase Award were chosen primarily based on their leadership attributes, achievements, and their want to continue expanding their profession. The award also acknowledges the recipients as long run leaders who are on the increase in the college small business local community and job.

Vela has been with the Frenship household for 10 decades, serving in many roles inside of the Frenship ISD Company Business such as Accountant, Coordinator of Accounting, and now Director of Finance. Not only is Vela an lively member of TASBO, earning their maximum certification of Registered Texas University Business Administrator, but she also participates in various local community and Frenship committees and serves as a mentor to youthful organization gurus and college students.

“For the past 10 yrs, Mrs. Vela has been an inspiration and guiding pressure in the budgeting, accounting, and economic functions for Frenship ISD,” said Frenship ISD Assistant Superintendent Main Economic Officer Farley Reeves. “She has delivered masterful management to the district neighborhood in establishing audio budgeting treatments, offering economical direction, training, and outstanding guidance to all stakeholders.”

As a Rise Award recipient, Vela was honored in front of college business enterprise leaders across Texas at the 2022 TASBO Have interaction Convention Awards Luncheon. Vela states she was humbled to acquire the honor, and she is fired up to carry on expanding as a leader to superior serve Frenship ISD.

“My need is to continue to produce and improve myself and my coworkers with a collaborative ecosystem, a coronary heart for support, and a pupil-targeted mindset,” claimed Vela. “The quantity of education, help, and support we can supply to campus personnel and central business staff is paramount in order to make it possible for them to target on what they want to emphasis on, our learners. I hope to foster this mindset and use it to increase our leaders who want to provide in education and learning.”
