After a nationwide search, San Marcos hires new finance director

The metropolis of San Marcos is welcoming a new director of finance Aug. 1.

Interim Metropolis Manager Stephanie Reyes selected Jonathan Locke from a nationwide pool of 15 candidates, in accordance to a town news launch.

“I am fired up to be portion of these kinds of a developing, dynamic, and numerous group,” Locke claimed in the announcement of his selecting. “I am honored to be part of an amazing staff and serve the people of San Marcos.”

For more than seven years, Locke was the govt director of finance for the City of Killeen. He has 18 many years of economical leadership encounter, which includes being town treasurer in the town of Significant Rapids, Michigan, and as assistant director at Perry County Position & Family Services in Ohio.

Locke has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s diploma in company administration from Franklin University in Ohio. In accordance to the release, Locke is a accredited licensed community accountant and a accredited govt finance officer. He is a member of the Governing administration Finance Officers Affiliation of Texas, recently elected to the Board of Administrators as the central agent, and serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee.
